Vacation time!

We took a little vacation to Salt Lake City a couple of weeks ago. It was so much fun! We did a lot of things in the two days we were there!

We went to a dinosaur museum....which was really cool, temple square, hill air-force base, a Utah Jazz game, and we stayed in a hotel and let the kids swim! It was so much fun!!!

My camera ran out of batteries while we were there, so I didn't get pictures of everything, but I did capture some of the trip!

The dinosaur museum!

The hotel

Grandma was able to come with us!

Swimming: which was the kids favorite part.....all except Bella! She hated it! She was so scared of the water, she just clung to me the whole time, and then we let her out and she wanted me and Grandma out of that water so bad! It was funny!

Scary pictures!!!

The other day Brooke came up to me with something behind her back and said, "Mom do you want to see the scariest picture in the whole wide world?"
Well, of coarse I was curious at what she had found. So I told her yes.

So are you ready to see the scariest picture in the whole wide world?

Hold your breath.....because it is scary

You might want to close any little one's eyes around....because this is scary

READY????

Here it is.....

Isn't that freaky?

Okay, so I laughed so hard!
I was expecting something a little scary!

And the funny thing about it is she really is scared of this picture!

As a matter of fact, as I was typing this post, Brooke came up to me and said,
"Mom, I don't like that picture....it is so freaky!"

She is so funny!!

Now you have seen the scariest picture in the whole wide world!!

Enjoy the moment!

So, I have been thinking a lot today. Sometimes I can't believe how fast time flies. I am so grateful for the many blessings my Heavenly Father has blessed me with! I am so grateful for my family.
My sister and I were talking the other day about how we wished we could go back about 20 years (that makes me sound old) and just enjoy the moment. Life was so simple back then. It was so nice to know that all I had to worry about was what toys I wanted to play with, and my parents just took care of the rest of it. We had some good times. How I wish I could go back for just a day, and be with my parents and sisters, the way things use to be. Don't get me wrong, I love my life now, but my memories of my childhood are very sweet. It is my Dad's birthday today, and I have been thinking about what present I want to give to him. I have come to the conclusion that the gift I am going to give to him is that I am going to try to enjoy the moment that I am living, right now. Enjoy the chance that I get to snuggle with my baby, or read a book to Brooke, or listen to how Obi Wan can kick Darth Vader's butt with a light saber, or listen to Megan tell me how much she loves Dogs and what their names would be if she had one. I am going to try harder to just enjoy these little kiddos while they are young. I think that is what my dad would want me to give him. After all, they are his grand kids! I want to wish him a happy birthday so bad, but hopefully he knows.
ENJOY THE MOMENT
for it will go quickly!!

Megan's birthday party

Megan turned 9 on Thursday!!! I can't believe it! She is getting so big! We really had a lot of fun decorating for her party! Here are a few pics from the big event!

k

These were the party favors, they were dog dishes with cocoa puffs (which we were trying to make it look like dog food), bubble gum and a bow I made for each kid. They were made out of dog print ribbon.

Each girl got to pick out a puppy to adopt! They really liked this!

Bella didn't eat her pizza very good! It all ended up on the floor!

We made dog ears for each girl and painted their faces like a dog!

Brooke had a little friend over too!

Here are all the girls!

Playing pin the bone on the dog's mouth

They played musical bone, and duck duck goose, which we played woof woof meow! They all had a lot of fun!

Here is Brooke running around the circle!

Playing heavy heavy hang over!

The cake! Don't look too close, it was the last thing I did and it was rushed!

And my birthday girl!!!

Valentines Day

We had a good Valentines Day. We made a lot of fun things this year. This is Bella helping with the Valentine Popcorn.

Brooke displaying a Valentine treat we made!

Here are the flowers that Boyd had sent to me at home! What a sweetheart!!!

Boyd had arranged for a babysitter to come and we went and battled the crowd at Texas Roadhouse!

And enjoyed some of these!!!

We left the restaurant ready to explode!!!! It was overall a great day!

Play dough food!

I thought it was so cute and very creative how Megan and Brooke came up with this play dough food and menu. They were so cute and had me order what food I wanted from the menu and then served it to me. I love the rainbow cake, but the lemon bar was on clearance, so I had to order a little of all of them! Too cute!
