I had Boyd take all the pictures because I was busy getting ready, and I have to say I am a little disappointed in the job he did.
He never got details...like Megan's hair (it was awesome), and the back of Brooke's hat...it had a red braid coming down the back. I totally would of had Bella stand up so you could see the whole costume!

Yellowstone and family pictures

We took a mini vacation to Jackson and Yellowstone with some friends of ours, the Davis'.
We had a blast! It was so much fun!
We rented a condo in Jackson and went swimming at their Rec center, highly recommend it, it was awesome!!
Then the next day we went through Yellowstone park. It was super awesome!!!

These awesome pictures were taken by Andy, not me because our camera sucks!!

Holy cow! I can't believe the summer is almost over!

I have totally slacked with my blogs, but I am going to try and be better!
It has been a busy summer, but we had a lot of fun!

Here is Brooke and Bella with their friends Jessa and Lexi from the neighborhood!

I debated posting this picture because I worried that someone would turn me into child services! Bella is super naughty and climbs up on the counter constantly. She must have been too tired this time because she conked right out!!

It has been awhile since I updated this blog! I find I have no time for this blog...my craft blog takes up all my blogging time...but I am trying to keep this blog up! I promise!

The baby got stiches...

Yesterday we were playing outside and I was heading in the house with Bella behind me. I was holding the front door open, waiting for her to come in, and she tripped and fell and hit her forehead right on the first concrete stair.

I knew it meant stitches the second I saw her laying there, because I saw the blood immediately gushing out of her head....you know how head wounds bleed! Thank heavens for my wonderful neighbor, who was over at the time. She took me and Bella to the Urgent care, and we met Boyd there. It only took 4 stitches, but it wasn't fun holding her down...but it happens.

Now all 3 of my girls have had stitches in their heads....Brooke twice. Micah has been the lucky one....knock on wood!

I am just grateful for good doctors!!

This is after the stiches...I got one shot of it before, but it is on my phone....I don't know how to get it off yet! You know me and phones! :)

She got quite a bit attention from her siblings....and mom and dad!

Poor Bella, she really doesn't have the best balance. She seems to fall more than all of my kids combined!! Hopefully that doesn't mean this is only the beginning!!

So we have been super busy lately with home repairs and normal everyday life...which keeps us super busy in and of itself.

So today I got in trouble for never updating this blog!
I really do feel bad about it....but trying to keep up on a craft blog, family blog, and be a half decent wife and mother is a lot!! It actually has me going 100% all the time...which isn't a bad thing, just busy!
So anyway, I thought I had better post some pictures....I went through and uploaded the most recent pics I have taken. I feel bad because I have a lot of Brooke and Bella, but not so many of Megan and Micah, I guess I need to be better about taking pictures of the older kids.

Anyway, these pictures were taken because Megan was modeling a necklace I made!

This picture was taken on Brooke's birthday...It was so funny because I painted the girls faces and Megan decided to paint Micah's face.....and the paint wouldn't come off!

Micah went to school with a pink face....someone made fun of him.....he cried....they got in trouble...Micah felt better!!!

Vacation time!

We took a little vacation to Salt Lake City a couple of weeks ago. It was so much fun! We did a lot of things in the two days we were there!

We went to a dinosaur museum....which was really cool, temple square, hill air-force base, a Utah Jazz game, and we stayed in a hotel and let the kids swim! It was so much fun!!!

My camera ran out of batteries while we were there, so I didn't get pictures of everything, but I did capture some of the trip!

Swimming: which was the kids favorite part.....all except Bella! She hated it! She was so scared of the water, she just clung to me the whole time, and then we let her out and she wanted me and Grandma out of that water so bad! It was funny!

So, I have been thinking a lot today. Sometimes I can't believe how fast time flies. I am so grateful for the many blessings my Heavenly Father has blessed me with! I am so grateful for my family.

My sister and I were talking the other day about how we wished we could go back about 20 years (that makes me sound old) and just enjoy the moment. Life was so simple back then. It was so nice to know that all I had to worry about was what toys I wanted to play with, and my parents just took care of the rest of it. We had some good times. How I wish I could go back for just a day, and be with my parents and sisters, the way things use to be. Don't get me wrong, I love my life now, but my memories of my childhood are very sweet. It is my Dad's birthday today, and I have been thinking about what present I want to give to him. I have come to the conclusion that the gift I am going to give to him is that I am going to try to enjoy the moment that I am living, right now. Enjoy the chance that I get to snuggle with my baby, or read a book to Brooke, or listen to how Obi Wan can kick Darth Vader's butt with a light saber, or listen to Megan tell me how much she loves Dogs and what their names would be if she had one. I am going to try harder to just enjoy these little kiddos while they are young. I think that is what my dad would want me to give him. After all, they are his grand kids! I want to wish him a happy birthday so bad, but hopefully he knows.

Megan's birthday party

Megan turned 9 on Thursday!!! I can't believe it! She is getting so big! We really had a lot of fun decorating for her party! Here are a few pics from the big event!

These were the party favors, they were dog dishes with cocoa puffs (which we were trying to make it look like dog food), bubble gum and a bow I made for each kid. They were made out of dog print ribbon.

Each girl got to pick out a puppy to adopt! They really liked this!

Bella didn't eat her pizza very good! It all ended up on the floor!

We made dog ears for each girl and painted their faces like a dog!

Brooke had a little friend over too!

We had a good Valentines Day. We made a lot of fun things this year. This is Bella helping with the Valentine Popcorn.

I thought it was so cute and very creative how Megan and Brooke came up with this play dough food and menu. They were so cute and had me order what food I wanted from the menu and then served it to me. I love the rainbow cake, but the lemon bar was on clearance, so I had to order a little of all of them! Thank you to all who commented on my last post! I am going to go ahead and try it out! So, Yes I am going to do it. I have been obsessed with trying to get my blog up and running! I spent several hours on it yesterday, and woke up at 4:45 AM this morning and couldn't go back to sleep and came down and worked on it. Well, it is pretty complicated for me....I think I am dumb or something.....but making your own header, button, and even trying to think up a stupid name for your blog is soooooooo hard! Maybe sometime next year I will have it ready! I am trying hard to figure it out, so hopefully soon you can have a peak into what I have been working on! Thanks again for your support!!!

Okay, so I am thinking seriously about starting a craft blog. I can't decide if it would be a good idea or not. Could I make it in the crafting blogging world? I don't know if I am crafty enough or smart enough to figure it all out! I also am worried about the commitment of it! I kind of go through crafting spells where it is all I can think about, and then cleaning spells, cooking spells, etc... Well, anyway, I am looking for feedback. Is is something you would look at, or even be interested in looking at? Let me know!!!! Yes....or no.

Bella getting her MRI done. They had a really hard time getting the IV in and had to try 4 times. It was so sad. Bella was so sad, it broke my heart!!! It is a good thing to get out of the way. The doctor said, possible she will just need one more in a year to make sure everything is okay! We are hoping for the best!

Bella loves to blow her nose. It is probably because her mother is constantly doing it!!
Megan doing her Christmas play at school. She did such a great job! She was an elf. I am so proud of her, she is a great student!

Bella fell and hit her head in the same spot several times. Her poor head looked like we had taken a baseball bat to her head!
My little garbage digger. I left the kitchen and came back to Bella eating a yogurt with her hands that she had fished out of the garbage! YUM!!!

She didn't want me to take it away, as you can tell in the picture above, so I just let her finish it, why not??

The Christmas season!

Making a gingerbread house!

Bella was so excited about opening presents...as you can tell!!
The kids opened up pjs and pillowpets that I made for them!

sBella got a bumble bee, Micah got a penguin, Megan got a lady bug, and Brooke got a pink unicorn! I was pretty stressed trying to get these made before Christmas Eve! It was a big project! They really liked them though, so it made it all worth it!

The kids wanted a wii real bad for Christmas! Thank you Santa Claus!!!

We had to wake Bella up finally to open presents, and she was being so cute! She had thrown up during the night so I wasn't sure how she would feel Christmas morning, but she did just great! I thought these pictures of her were so funny! She is our little cheeser!

I know....I look absolutely horrible, but hey, it's Christmas morning! But just look at that beauty in my hands! I have been waiting for that baby for awhile! I am sooooo excited!!

Boyd made Micah an easel for Christmas, so maybe now Megan and Micah won't fight over hers constantly now!

We were suppose to go sleigh riding with some friends and our car battery was dead! Boyd was still at work, and I have no idea how to jump start it! The kids were so disappointed! Megan was so mad at me that she wouldn't even look at the camera....because after all it was my fault that the car wouldn't start!!!

The rest of the kids seem to think it was still fun though!

Well, we are in full swing of the Christmas season! I can't believe we have a week until Christmas! We are getting very excited! I have been really lacking on my posts lately. Bella is walking all over the place....hitting her head on everything, but doing very well. We go down to get her MRI on Tuesday and are praying for good results. I hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas season! Merry Christmas!!!

This little stinker is now walking! We are so thrilled with the progress she has made! She seems to be doing really well, all except for her head size. I took her in for her 1 year the other day and the doctor said her head had grown too much again, so we have to go down to primary children's hospital next month for another MRI. Anyway, she is walking all over the house now, so we have to be very careful not to keep the bathroom door open. And my kids are horrible at this. Well, Micah used the toilet and plugged it, and left the lid up with the door open.....so, I find Bella in the bathroom, elbow deep in the toilet, playing in the poop and water! She put a piece of toilet paper up to her mouth when I was diving for her! So gross!!!! I was mortified! I was so upset about this. If there is anything in this world that grosses me out the most it is the toilet, and of course it had to have just gotten used! My poor little Bella had her first swim in the toilet.....grrrr Micah!!!!

Well, my husband is heartbroken over the Boise State game! They lost the other night, which they haven't lost in forever....I don't know how long exactly. But they really were having a big year this year, and now it all came crashing to a stop the other night. Boyd has been moping around all depressed for the last week because of it! I fell really bad that they didn't win, and hope they can have another good year next year. He still is a die hard fan though!

Do you remember my freezer meals, and how I had a funny story? Well, here it is. If you are easily offended, stop reading right now.....because this could be offensive, but it is really funny. Well, Brooke likes to cook with me and when I was doing bread she was making a little man with the bread dough. I didn't think much of it, until she showed it to me. Then I was a little disturbed. She said, "Look at my little man I made, and look at his little weenie." And sure enough she had created a little man, with a little weenie! I thought it was so darn funny, I had to take a picture of it and share it. Hopefully you can appreciate it as much as I did. I am so grateful for my little Brooke and the happiness she brings to our home.

My kids are all sick!!!! Megan, Micah, and Brooke have strep throat, and Bella is sick as well, but she is too little to get strep I guess. Anyway, I had to post this picture of their antibiotics because I thought it was funny at how much we have! I hope this is the only time we get strep this winter!

shredded chicken that got put into all sorts of things! I think I cooked three crockpots full of chicken!

Well, I took on doing a month of freezer meals....I think I would rather have my teeth pulled than go through that again! It was not fun. I don't know how these mom's make freezer meals all the time! Maybe I took on too much at once, but it wasn't fun. My poor kids suffered as well! But now, weeks later, I do have to say, it is sooooo nice to just grab something out of the fridge and pop it in the oven when you have one of those crazy days, that dinner was not going to happen! So, maybe I will try it one more time. We will see!!!

Our good friend, Carrie Davis, took our family pictures the other day. She did an amazing job, we were so happy with them. It was kind of a pain to try and get everyone to smile and look at the camera all at the same time. But we did it....even though I am glad they are done! Well, I have been busy canning lately...that is why there have been no new post lately. I have done pickles, pears, peaches, raspberrys, apple pie filling, plum jelly, strawberry freezer jam, a whole bunch of grape juice, potatoes, stewed tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, and salsa! And we have froze a whole bunch of corn! I think I got it all! I am ready to be done canning. By the time October rolls around, I am ready to be done! I still have a lot of tomatoes....crap!!!

Happy Birthday Bella! I can't believe she is already one! It just seems like yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital! It has been an up and down year, and there were times that I wasn't sure how things were going to turn out for her, but she is doing so well. She has been so much fun, and I am so glad that we got her! Happy Birthday baby!

This is what I look like today...okay, not exactly, but my head was in the toilet all night last night. I am pretty sure I threw up 20 times during the night. Brooke probably threw up 10, and Bella is throwing up today. I HATE being sick! I think there should be a rule that mom's can't get sick. It was pure torture last night to clean up Brooke's throw up every time, because I would end up in the bathroom throwing my guts up every time as well! Yah, fun stuff!!! Hope this doesn't last long!

Well, Bella got her tubes in her ears yesterday, bright and early. She did really good. It was pretty fast and painless...I think. She came out of the anesthesia screaming and mad, but I brought her home and she took a nap and has acted really good ever since. She is such a sweetheart, I hope we have no more ear infections now!!!

Stake Conference...yikes!!!!

So, I was just asked to speak in our stake conference this Sunday. I am scared to death to say the least! I was asked to talk about the things that have gone on in the past year with my Dad and with Bella. It is going to be difficult, and I hope I can get through it. I was so shocked when he asked me to speak, I literally thought he was kidding. But I guess he wasn't, so I will do it! I don't want to, but I will do it! So please pray for me, I will need any help I can get!!!

Camping up Scout Mountain

We took the kids up Scout Mountain a couple of weekends ago and had a great time! Our good friends, The Davis', came up one of the nights for dinner and smores. We had a couple of visitors come while they were there. We had two skunks come start ripping apart our garbage right in front of us. They were not scared of us at all. It was crazy! We were pretty worried about getting sprayed, but it all worked out okay. It was actually pretty interesting watching them so close! We had a lot of fun, and were sad when they weekend was over.

Here is the skunks mess the next morning. The kids weren't too excited to clean up there mess!

So I took Bella to the doctor again today because she has been sick. And she has another ear infection. I think we are going to do tubes in her ears. She has had too many infections. I feel so bad for her. She has thrown up twice today, and running a fever. Our air conditioner broke so we are so hot to boot! It is fun trying to deal with her fever in a boiling hot house! I feel like life is kicking my butt right now! I hate days like this!!! Tomorrow will be better....hopefully!

Bella Bella Bo Bella...you are so precious! She just had her 9 month check up on Thursday, and the Doctor said she was doing pretty good! Her head size hasn't grown more than it should, and her measurements were all good. She is behind quite a bit in her development, but I think she will catch up. We have to get another MRI in December, and I think that will tell us a lot more. I am so grateful for good doctors that care about her, we just keep praying every day that she is going to be okay. We love her so much and are so grateful that she is part of our family.

Okay, so I am really slacking with my posts lately. But I am really truly trying to get the pictures from my camera onto the computer...and I can't. I don't know what is wrong with me, but this time it is totally doing something weird. This cute young man is 32 today!!! That is pretty darn old! I love to give Boyd a hard time on his birthday, because there is 8 days out of the year that I am 4 years younger than him, and I love it! I am getting so tired of the rain! We took the kids for a walk on the Milward mile yesterday (it is like a green belt along the portneuf). Anyway, it was so beautiful when we left to go, the sun was shining, no wind. We were on the way back to the car when the storm clouds started to roll in. We didn't get back in time!! We got drenched in the rain! It was a major storm that came through. We even had a little hail hit us. The kids were crying and cold. It was horrible. By the time we got back to the car, we were soaked to the bone!! I put my shoes on this morning to go play volleyball, and my shoes were still wet inside! It was quite the adventure! I am so grateful for a nice warm and dry house to come home to! When is it going to be summer???

We have had a fun time so far this spring, with what good weather we have had. We have stayed busy with soccer for both Megan and Micah. They both scored goals yesterday at their games...we were very proud parents. We also really enjoy going for bike rides as a family. We had a long weekend! I am so glad it is over! We went to Primary Children's Medical Center for Bella's MRI and found out some good news....I think!! I was so tired and emotionally drained that it all seems like a blur. I didn't hardly sleep all week because I was so worried about this little stinker! Anyway, the head neurosurgeon there came and talked to us about what was going on. He told us that she didn't have enough fluid on her brain to shunt her...which we were soooo relieved. I had been so stressed about that. Also, he told us that she had her septum pellucidum, which was the membrane they were worried that she didn't have. Anyway, she has all of her membranes, but for some reason her brain is underdeveloped. She is a couple months behind. He wants us to come back in 4-6 weeks so he can look at her again, and he also wants us to meet with an ophthalmologist, which is a doctor for her eyes. I don't know what to expect there, but over all we were sooo relieved about the news we got. We went down, expecting the worst, and came out feeling so much relief! We love our sweet Bella and hope she has a bright future ahead! I only hope I can have enough faith!! Thanks again for every ones prayers and for fasting for her! We really appreciate it more than you know!!!!

I have not looked forward to posting this. It isn't the thing you want to blog about, but it is very much the only thing on my mind lately. I took Bella into the doctor on Wednesday for her well baby check up. They were doing the regular measurements, and noticed that her head was too big for her age. She also is behind in her development. She is almost 7 months old and isn't sitting up and not reaching out and grabbing things. This has been worrying me for awhile, but I kept trying to tell myself that it is just different kids going at different speeds. Well, the doctor came back in and said he wanted to ultrasound her head to make sure everything was okay. That made me a little nervous, but I hoped that we would just find out she had a big head. Anyway, the results came back and our sweet little Bella has hydrocephalus, which is too much water on the brain, and they also couldn't find her septum pellucidum, which is the membrane between her 3rd and 4th ventricles. Well, we were pretty devastated to hear that anything was wrong with our baby. We are not sure what to expect, but I think they are going to want to do a shunt for the hydrocephalus, and we still don't know what to think about the absence of the septum pellucidum. She has an appointment scheduled for Friday at 12:30 in Salt Lake at the Primary Children's hospital. They are going to do an MRI. We are praying that everything is going to be okay for Bella. She is such a cute little stinker, and it breaks my heart to think of anything being wrong with her. She is a queen in our home and will always be. We love her forever!!!

Well, today I am grateful that I made it through church! I had to speak in sacrament, and then do singing time in primary. The primary bad, but I hate to speak in sacrament. I am so glad it is over with. I love my ward and am so grateful for the people in it. We have wonderful friends and neighbors who are great and so supportive. I wanted to start doing a post each Sunday about something I am grateful for. Today I feel very grateful for parents who taught me the gospel. My parents were great examples to me. The older I get, the more I appreciate my parents. I know they weren't perfect, but they were dang close. I know they really tried hard to live the gospel and be good examples for us girls. I hope I can be as good a parent to my kids as they were to me. I don't know how people cope with the loss of a loved one without the knowledge of the gospel. I know that my knowledge of the plan of Salvation has got me through these last few months. I want to thank my Mom and Dad for teaching me the gospel! I love you Mom and Dad and I can't wait for the day that we can be together forever!!!

Well, we have had quite the week (well,last two weeks). We have been redoing our upstairs. We ripped off tile, repainted, added crown molding, we're changing the fireplace, re-trimming....all the while we have had strep throat, sinus infections, ear infections, colds, sore throats, the flu and the latest....pink eye!! It has been soooo much fun. We're living in a complete mess, and everyone has been sick! I am so tired, physically and emotionally. Bella has been really fussy, probably because she is feeling my frustration, and because her ear infection was so bad, it burst! The poor baby! Aannyyywwaayy, we are hopefully on the mend, and working like crazy to be done for Easter, since we are hosting it for my family! We are crazy!! I will post pictures later of the fiasco!

Well, we went and got Megan's ears pierced the other day. We made her wait until she turned eight and made the decision to pierce her own ears. It was not fun to watch them pierce them though. I hated it. It really hurt her! It wasn't a spring loaded gun like I remember. They have to push it through. I thought it looked so painful! I am so glad that I pierced my ears when I was little, because there is no way that I could do it now! But she was so excited and they look really cute! I love my little Megs!

Three years ago today, our little Brooke came to us! She had me wrapped around her little finger from the time I laid eyes on her. She was so adorable, and was even chunky when she was born. I remember when the nurses would come in and take her in to the nursery, I would hate it! I couldn't wait for them to bring her back! We have enjoyed having Brooke in our family so much! I can't believe she is already three. She is sick today, which doesn't make us very happy. I hope she can enjoy tonight! I love you Brooke, Happy birthday baby!!!

Our little Megan Jo was baptized a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints this weekend. I can't believe she is getting so big. She is the sweetest little girl, I am so proud of her choice to be baptized. She was so excited and nervous. Boyd said that after she was baptized and waiting to be confirmed, she looked at Boyd and said, "Dad I really do feel clean." I thought that was so cute! She is a sweetheart!!

Megan also had a basketball game that same day. She did so good...she scored two baskets for the team and was so proud!!!

We celebrated afterward by going to McDonalds and letting the kids play. They had so much fun with their cousins!

Well, this is the amount of laundry that I have every week...and it is only the colors...I still have the the WHITES!!! Plus, I do all of Bella's laundry separate! I get so discouraged with laundry! I HATE it, it is the never ending chore! I will get all the laundry washed and put away, and then go and look in laundry basket and it will be almost full again! This morning I went to put Brooke on the potty....we are potty training...hooray! Anyway, Brooke looked up at me with her big brown eyes and said, "This is going to be great....it's going to be a great day!" I thought it was so adorable, I thought to myself, yeah why not...why couldn't it be a great day. So that is the attitude I am going to take....it is going to be a great day! I love kids! Like my dad told me before he died...he said, "Isn't life wonderful with children around!" I really think it is Dad! If only we were all like little children!

I am trying so hard to be positive about life right now...but it is hard! When people ask me how I'm doing I always try to smile and look at the good things in my life. I have so much to be thankful for. But I will tell ya, it is hard when you call your mom and she is crying and she just doesn't know why everything in her world has turned upside down. I get so frustrated when I can't make everything okay. I try so hard not to ask the question why? But I think it is quite surely impossible. I sit here and think about how much my mom needs my dad, and then comes that awful word again....why? I have given this a lot of thought and the only thing I can come up with is maybe this is all for us. I try to think of everything good that has come from this horrible nightmare and here is what I have come up with.

1. The other day Boyd came to me and told me he was going to be a better husband.
2. It really brings families together...I really think it has
3. We are all going to get to spend more time with my mother

This is all I could come up with, and I ask myself, would Dad do this for us again if he knew that these 3 things would come true. And I can't help but think...yes, I believe he would. That is the kind of guys he was!!

So, I have to make a choice right now. Is this going to make me a better person...or am I going to wallow away in self pity, because I can't make everything all better, and I like to be a healer of hearts. I love making people feel better, and I can't, and I think that is getting the best of me!!!
Anyway, I am going to promise right now to be a better wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend! I promise...I promise...I promise........I don't want to have any regrets! Regrets are the worst! I hate them...they make you feel horrible! Anyway, I think I have rambled on enough! I just had to write down a few of my thoughts!!!!!

My dad!!!

On January 12, 2010 my dad, Ward Staley, passed away peacefully in his home after suffering briefly from cancer. This has been such a shock, I don't know if it has all sunk in yet. I want it to all be a nightmare and wake up and have my dad there. He has always been the one to make everything okay. We had just found out his prognosis 5 days before he died. I still can't believe it. It was so fast. I guess in a way it was a blessing, because he didn't have to suffer for very long. I feel so bad for my mom. They were so close to retiring and had so many plans made. It doesn't seem fair! The only thing that keeps us going is the knowledge of the gospel. I am so grateful for the plan of salvation, and the knowledge that we have of life after death. I know we will get to be with my dad again, and I am grateful for a Savior who made it all possible. This makes me want to be a better wife and mother. Never take a day for granted! Life is just too short! I am so thankful for memories. I will forever treasure the memories I have with my dad. I wish we had a perfect memory. I look forward to the day that we will. I will always treasure the memory of my mother with my dad those last few days. It was so tender watching her with him. You could feel the love that they have for one another. It was so sad watching my mom say goodbye to him. They loved each other so much. My mom said that she was not only losing a husband, but she was losing her best friend. I will always remember that. I believe that what ever time that has been taken away from my mom, will be given back to her 10 fold. I love my dad and hope that he knew that. The funeral services are: Thursday a viewing from 7-9, and on Friday a viewing from 10:30-11:30, then the funeral at 12:00. Just in case anyone was wondering.

Just an update....

Well, we spent the whole weekend with my parents. It was a very emotional weekend...I don't think I have anymore tears to cry. I love my parents so much and am so grateful to have had the opportunity of being their daughter. My dad isn't doing well at all, and we are expecting him to pass away this week. It is still so unreal, and I can't believe this is happening. We just found out last week what his prognosis was, and now we are planning his funeral. It all happened so fast! In a way I guess it is a blessing that he isn't going to suffer for very long. I cannot express in words my feelings for my dad. He has been a wonderful example to me and my family. Last night Boyd told me that he has never met a more patient man in his whole life! I love him so much. He is in a lot of pain, and still so patient with all of us. He has not complained at all through all of this. I think that is the main reason they didn't catch it until the last stages, is he never complained! He is such a great example to me through all of this. He is truly an incredible man! I am so grateful for the knowledge of the gospel. I know that we will see him again, and I am grateful for that. I want to thank everyone for their prayers...they have been felt. Everyone has been so nice through all of this and very supportive! THANK YOU!!!

I just want to have things the way they use to be, when my dad wasn't sick! I am feeling so stressed right now! I am not sleeping at night and feel grouchy all the time! I am sooo worried about my dad! We are finding out results today, and what his prognosis is. I am so worried what we are going to find out! I feel so bad for my mom...bless her heart. They have been through so much in their lives! There are all sorts of things going through my mind right now! I am worrying that I wasn't a good enough daughter, or what I could have done better. I hope I have made my dad proud! There are definitely things I could have done better. I already wish I would have taken more pictures. I am trying to remember everything about my dad that I can. Sometimes life is tough, but I know that we are going to get through this.

To make things even worse right now, we have been sick with the croup. Well, now Megan woke up this morning at 5:00 throwing up. She has been puking her guts up this morning. Nice...just what I need today, to be cleaning up throw up all over!!! I am expecting it to make it's way through the family!! The bad thing is we can't go see my dad while we are sick, so everything we get just makes me so mad, because I want to see him. So anyway, if you want, please remember him in your prayers today! Thanks everyone for being so supportive through all of this. Everyone has been so nice!

Well, we just celebrated our 9th anniversary yesterday! I can't believe it has been 9 years already! It has been the best 9 years of my life! We went to dinner last night to Applebees, and then went up to see my Dad at the hospital. After that we came home and watched Boise State win their bowl game! Hooray! We were so excited that they won! Anyway, I wanted to Congratulate Boyd on putting up with me for 9 years!!!

Well, this holiday hasn't been how I expected or hoped it would be. My dad has been very sick for a couple of months now, and last week we found out that is was cancer. Our whole family has been very upset and we were not expecting this at all. I am worried sick about him and my mom. They ran him up to the emergency room last night because of some complications and he is expecting to be there for a couple of days. I feel horrible because I can't go up and see him because I am sick, as well as my kids. So, right now I am feeling sad and helpless. I am praying for the best. We will know more on Tuesday and can only hope for a miracle. I am trying to stay positive and strong, but it is very hard when it is someone you love so much.
I was looking through some pictures of my dad and found this one. It was taken on Fathers Day in 1994. He looks so healthy and good! I wish I could go back to that time! It is so much easier when you are young and naive. I love my Dad so much and am praying so much for him!!! I have always admired his patience and kindness. He is the most loving man you will meet! We can only pray and keep faithful!

I just finished this book, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Christmas book to read. It is very easy reading and it goes fast! It is a great book and has a wonderful message! It really got me thinking...I love books like that. I will warn you that it is a real tear jerk-er though! I loved it!!! I am so grateful for my family! I feel really blessed!

I just love getting Bella to smile! There is something so cute about her smile...I love seeing her dimples in her cheeks! She is not a very happy baby very often, so we really try to treasure her when she is being good. She is very colicky right now. I can hear her poor little tummy rumbling all the time! Last night I over heard Megan and Micah talking in there beds. It went like this:
Micah-"Megan, Santa always brings kids what they want, huh?"
Megan-"Yeah, Santa always brings kids what they ask for, but the Easter bunny doesn't! Two times the Easter bunny didn't bring me what I wanted for Easter!"

I guess the Easter bunny dropped the ball on that one! We will have to have a talk with that Easter bunny!!

Bella's Blessing and Thanksgiving

We were able to go see Megan's Thanksgiving program at school and Thanksgiving feast. It was really fun and she did a great job!
Boyd and his family always do a Thanksgiving football game. This year it was the donkeys vs. the armadillos! I think they had a lot of fun...even though Boyd's team lost! It was all because Boyd has a broken wrist...we think!
We decided to bless Bella over Thanksgiving weekend while all of our family was already up. It was a beautiful blessing, and she looked so cute! I am so thankful our Heavenly Father sent her to us. We are so grateful to be her parents and hope we can raise her with a strong testimony of the gospel.

Have you ever been truly exhausted? I feel like I can truly say that I am exhausted. Brooke was up all night throwing up. I was up changing bedding, bathing Brooke (because she kept throwing up all over herself), and feeding Bella all night! The most frustrating thing is I was so tired last night, I was hoping for a good night sleep! HA HA!! Today has been fun too! Brooke has been throwing up all morning, and is seriously sooo sick! She won't even sit up. I am so scared of Bella getting it. And I am sure Megan and Micah will be throwing up soon! Yah! I love the winter months and all the sicknesses that come with it! I am not in a great mood as you could probably tell! I am tired and cranky! Hopefully we will be all better by Thanksgiving!

Oh...the joys of a sleeping baby! This picture made me laugh. It looks like she is saying, "Duh." And the one below I could not get her to take a nap all day, finally I put her on top of the dryer and she fell to sleep...and slept for about 4 hours. Few! The dryer is my new best friend!

I know you aren't suppose to sleep a baby on her stomach, but I only do it when I am awake and right by her. Sometimes her tummy hurts so bad, this is the only way to get her to calm down!

The other day I went to Smiths and bought $160 worth of groceries and after coupons I paid only $8.00. I was so excited when he hit the total button. I have never done this good before...in a way I felt sort of guilty walking out of there with a cart full and only paying a few dollars for it. I could hardly wait to get home to show Boyd and the kids! I think Boyd was excited about this shopping trip too! Anyway, just thought I would share my great deal!

I had a really bad night with Bella last night and Micah and Brooke have been sick, so when I got up I was super tired and obviously not thinking clearly. Well, I changed Brooke and put her pajama bottoms back on and went into the kitchen and I hear her saying, "Mommy I can't walk." I about died laughing when she came walking or attempting to walk into the kitchen. I can't believe I put both of her legs in one pant leg and didn't even notice. I guess the lack of sleep is catching up to me!

Here was Bella's first bath. She wasn't quite sure what to think of it. After a few minutes she started crying and wanted out. I can't believe she is already 1 month old. We had a fun dinner the night before with Homemade root beer and mummy dogs. It was really fun, then the night on Halloween we went to the trunk or treat and hit our neighborhood. We got way too much candy...it might find its way to the garbage!!!

Halloween Cookies

For family home evening we made Halloween cookies. The kids had a lot of fun decorating them. We have been trying to do a few fun things for Halloween. Boyd is going to take Megan to the haunted forest tonight and she is so excited to go. I hope she doesn't get too scared.

We have been busy with soccer this fall. It has been a lot of fun watching the kids play. They have done really well. It was Micah's first season, he was a little shy but I think aggression will come with time. Megan really enjoys playing and is getting really good at it. I really enjoy watching them play!

Here are some more pictures of our sweet little Bella. Yes, she does have dimples in her cheeks. They are so adorable! That was one of the first things I noticed about her...her hair and her dimples. She is so precious! I can't believe she is already 15 days old! I took her to her 2 week appointment yesterday and she is now 8 1/2 lbs. I was so glad to hear that she had gained wieght because she hasn't been the very best eater. But she is doing very well now!

Here are some of the pictures we took of Bella the first few days after she was born. She has been such a good baby so far, and the kids just adore her. They have been so good with her! I have also recovered quicker with Bella than any of the other kids. It has been very nice.

Well, we had our baby on October 5th at 12:15 P.M. She is so adorable! I feel bad because my computer has been acting up, so Boyd has had it all torn apart, and I just barely got the chance to update about the baby. I haven't figured out how to put pictures on the computer yet, but tonight I will have Boyd help me. But I wanted to let everyone know Bella is doing great. She is a very good baby so far...I know she is only 10 days old, but I am hoping her good nature stays...and she doesn't get fussy. She has tons of dark brown hair, and big dimples in her cheeks. Everyone thinks she looks like Brooke. She has been a joy, and the kids absolutely adore her. The delivery went very good, I was only in labor for 3 hours! I am so greatful that she came to us. We love her so much already!
